Aim of this Website
“Anyone who connects a machine to the Internet can potentially effect the security and/or reliability of other network users.”
The purpose of this document is to inform – plain and simple. The site serves to educate readers who are looking for information pertaining to denial of service attacks (commonly called as DoS attacks) &/or distributed denial of service attacks (referred to as DDoS attacks).
This document is not a primer or a How-To Guide for any particular solution &/or a particular vendor or OS. I’ve tried to be an vendor neutral here as much as I possibly can, but then again, I have highlighted what is working out there in the industry.
It’s a generic (generalized) reading guide that informs about the DoS/DDoS problem and pointers on the web from where solutions may be remedied.
